Sandy Kyrkostas was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in 2013 and given a dire prognosis. Sandy's perseverance and a dream team of oncologists & surgeons at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (including Dr. Douglas Scherr of Weill Cornell Urology) have led to defied odds.
Sandy's cancer spread to the bladder. After a series of medical and surgical treatments, Dr. Scherr performed robotic surgery to remove cancer from Sandy's bladder.
