Video Visits / Telemedicine Appointments
At Weill Cornell Medicine, Department of Urology, our top priority remains the care of our patients. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are emphasizing the use of Video Visits to provide a safe, effective, secure, and convenient way to provide care. Video Visits allows us to continue to fulfill our mission to provide best-in-class care for all of our patients.
New and existing patients will have direct access to Denise Galan, through a smartphone (preferred) or computer. Our patients will receive instructions to a unique, secure, and private link to access the Video Visit session once the appointment is scheduled.
Nearly all of our visits are being performed via Video Visit at this time. During the Video Visit with Denise Galan, she will determine if an in-person office visit is needed.

Biography
Denise Galan, RN, MSN, C- PNP is a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for the Pediatric Urology practice within the Department of Urology for over 15 years. She strives to create a compassionate environment and maintains an informative dialogue for care with both parent and child.
Denise earned her undergraduate degree in nursing at Adelphi University in 1994. After graduation, she started her career at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital working in the Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU, as well as in General Pediatrics. She returned to school at New York University to earn her Master's degree as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Shortly after graduating in 2003, she joined Dr. Dix P. Poppas in the Department of Pediatric Urology. She specializes in treating children with daytime incontinence, nighttime bedwetting, urinary frequency, urinary tract infections, penile adhesions, and Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia.
