The Institute for Pediatric Urology
The Institute for Pediatric Urology opened in 2007 and specializes in the evaluation and treatment of urologic issues ranging from spinal cord abnormalities to acquired voiding issues. The Institute's integrated team of specialists offers comprehensive services for children by providing state-of-the-art techniques for correcting or minimizing urologic disorders. Physicians working in the Institute have developed minimally invasive techniques including laparoscopic and robotic surgery, genital reconstruction and treatment of vesicoureteral reflux.
The facility for the Institute is built to provide a compassionate setting for all children with urologic problems. The space consists of treatment rooms encompassing pediatric video urodynamics and biofeedback, allowing for patient privacy and treatment of children in a nurturing environment. The facility's waiting room includes an aquarium and a play area. In addition to clinical care, the facility serves as a space for the continuation of groundbreaking clinical and basic science research in pediatric urology. The Institute is located on the ninth floor of the F building within NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medicine.
In addition to our central location in Manhattan, Weill Cornell's Pediatric Urologists also see patients in Queens and Westchester.
