Neurogenic bladder, now called Neurogenic Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction, refers to an abnormality of urinary function in which a person cannot empty their own bladder or lacks urinary control due to a brain, spinal cord, or other nerve-related condition.
A diagnosis of neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction is sometimes referred to by other names, including Neurogenic detrusor overactivity (NDO) Detrusor Sphincter Dyssynergia (DSD), Neurogenic bladder sphincter dysfunction (NBSD) or flaccid/neurogenic bladder.
